A personal statement from Gary
I love taking photos. To me it is about seeing. I mean really seeing, the difference between looking and seeing. I have found in recent years that I am a street photographer. I love to roam urban areas where there are visual surprises around every corner. I get into a kind of visual zone, which are the moments I live for. While I appreciate many kinds of images, it is people and their lives that continue to intrigue and captivate me. I want to know the people I photograph. In some ways I try through my photos to communicate something about my subjects lives, their hopes and dreams. Gary Clark, aka "Mashuga"
