Ackowledgments
The Board of the Global Awareness Society International gratefully acknowledges the support and contributions of all those who participated in these two conferences. Our longtime member, Lew Mennerick of the University of Kansas, was a key player in organizing paper sessions and preparing the programs. Global Awareness Society-Korea officers played a significant role in making the Seoul conference a memorable experience. We particularly appreciate the efforts made by Sook Yung Oh and Ja Hae Kim who organized rooms and meals to the great satisfaction of everybody. We also sincerely appreciate the authors of the papers contained in these Proceedings for work in preparing manuscripts so that their work maybe be shared with all.
This edition of the Proceedings is the first that we have published on-line and await the response from the membership concerning this format. We hope to accomplish two goals with this publication:(1) To expand the readership by making this research available to all those on the web; (2) To reduce our use of paper products, ink, and postage. The papers are available in PDF format by simply clicking on the titles in theTable of Contents.
