Mission Statement

The Protestant Campus Ministry¡¯s (PCM) mission is to provide a Christian witness on the Bloomsburg University campus through providing quality worship, education, service, fellowship and programming. PCM offers and supports various cultural, educational, and religious activities that call students, faculty, and staff to seek the manifest love of Christ, that challenge them to a deeper level of spiritual growth, wholeness and wellness and encourage them to enrich their lives.

Worship is the center of a Christian¡¯s faith-life and the center of PCM. PCM provides weekly worship opportunities for students and members of the BU community. Periodically, PCM provides leadership for worship in churches in and around the Bloomsburg community. PCM also promotes and participates in ecumenical services on and off the University campus.
Education is the focus of Bloomsburg University and PCM. Through Bible Study, access to PCM¡¯s library, and relevant faith based discussion, PCM empowers members of the campus community to challenge their faith, expand their minds, and increase their sense of self-worth and ethical understanding necessary to survive and flourish in a rapidly changing, culturally diverse society.
Fellowship opportunities are both provided and encouraged. The power of just being together is not overlooked by PCM. Through various worship, educational, service and social functions, members are empowered in their sense of community, encouraged to share their life and faith with others and upheld in times of joy or crisis.
Service is a natural result of true Christian living and PCM providing both service to the students through pastoral care and counseling, and promotes service by the students through advocating social justice and outreach, creating opportunities for the BU community to actively embody the love of Christ in the world.
