Summer Chaplain Opportunity - Pocono Area Leisure Ministry (ELCA) has part-time Summer Chaplain positions available in northeast Pennsylvania.
Pocono Area Leisure Ministry provides:
- $2100, housing, and travel expenses for 15 weeks
- Campgrounds & ministry opportunities in host congregations
- training provided in late May, supervision by Parish Pastor, support & sharing at regular gatherings of chaplains
Chaplains provide:
- Willingness to plan and lead informal worship, eagerness to share your faith in God
- Flexibility in a 20-25 hour work schedule
- your own car & creative ideas
- interest in congregational outreach ministry, preaching experience helpful
Applicants must be Christian but need not be Lutheran. If interested, please be in touch as soon as possible. We would like to have our positions assigned by April 30, 2009 at the very latest. Position extends from Memorial Day to Labor Day, although we can flex to meet school schedules.
