Awards

The Institute for Culture and Society sends a Call for Nominations for the four primary awards each year. The awards for Outstanding Scholarship, Creative Works, and Lifetime Acheivement have been a part of the Institute's annual cycle since it's beginning in 2001. A quick review of the time-line below will highlight the fact that awards are not automatically given each year. The Institute evaluates the merit of all submissions and determines awards accordingly. The most recent addition to the Institute awards, the Vermont Studio Residency Fellowship Award, was first given in 2009.
