Faculty Scholarships

Newer Faculty Scholar Award:

A scholarship has been created to help newer scholars to participate in the conference. To qualify the applicant must be a full-time faculty member on a continuing contract at a college or university with less than seven years of teaching experience. Preference will be given to first time attendees. Successful candidates will receive a travel grant scholarship of up to $500 (based on geographic considerations). Local participants will receive amounts not less than their registration fees.To be considered for this award, please send a presentation abstract to Program Chair, Hiram Martinez, hmartinez@wcupa.edu and abstract and current CV to Dr. Michael Seipel, Brigham Young University :Michael_seipel@byu.edu by January 31, 2017.

Proposals will be judged for quality and appropriateness for the conference theme. The successful candidate must register for the conference before their paper can be scheduled and present his/her paper at the conference. Pre-registration deadline is March 31, 2017. It is understood that recipients will submit a final version of the presented paper for inclusion the 2017 Conference Proceedings. The award will be presented during the conference at the Global Banquet to be held May 27, 2017 at the Bougainvillea Hotel in Heredia, Costa Rica
